Hello!

I've been working on this website and it's my first time using OpenCart.

There is a theme installed and it doesn't work well on mobile devices because of some issue in the code and the person who built the theme refuses to help unless I buy the theme again, so my client and I have discussed switching to a new theme rather than re-buying the buggy theme.

How difficult would that be to do? We are a website with over 1,000 products and don't want to go through much down time, but I do understand there will be some "growing pains" with any redesign that we do. If we decide to move on to a new theme, would all of our product listing be fine, or would everything need to be redone?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond.

Products are unaffected. Just copy the new theme files onto your server and select it from the settings in admin. If something doesn't work, switch back to the one you have.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
