Global Reward Points System Module - Not deducting points

Hi,

I have the Global Reward Points Opencart module installed on a 1.5.5.1 version of Opencart from here:

Points are not being deducted from the customer balance once redeemed - meaning that they can be redeemed over and over.

Example:

Create account
Add 100 points
Make a purchase and choose to redeem 50 points
Check reward points balance which stays at 100

I have searched the forums and the wider web for information on this but have drawn a blank so far.

I have installed the exctension on a fresh Opencart install and it works as it should.

My question therefore is whethere there are any known reasons for this behaviou or any known conflicts with other modules? That said, I have added all the same modules to the test install and all works as it should.

Only thing I have read that causes similar problems is when the default language is set to Dutch. It isn't, English is the default.

I have emailed the dev but I don't think this is a fault with the module specifically.

by default, it is deducted when spent. You will need to check with the developer

Still waiting for dev to get back but like I said, don't think it's the module.

Resorted to a re-install in the end.
