Need advice for setting up the store option where the customer orders online, and then specifies In-store Pickup. How would I set that up? Just another type of shipping?

OK, so the option for Free Shipping = In-store Pickup if I do that. Does that mean that a customer can choose free shipping over paid shipping and proceed to checkout, and have the product shipped to them (unless somebody notices and asks for more money)?
I guess I should also ask how to use the UPS shipping option, since I now see a file in there. Does it not actually do anything, or is there a secret to getting it to work?

Shipping - Pickup at Store OpenCart_v1.4.0.zip is a standalone extension to add a separate shipping option called Store Pickup. There are some technical issues with this and other store pickup extensions when using guest checkout twice in a row, I don't know if it was just me. For that reason I made another extension which simply renames Free Shipping. To install this, just upload the required files then from the backend go to extensions then shipping and install Store Pickup. You may have to go to user groups and enable permissions for shipping/pickup. Rename Free Shipping to Store Pickup OpenCart_v1.4.0.zip simply renames the Free Shipping option to Store Pickup. It works flawlessly in all situations. Only downside is there won't be an actual shipping option that says "Free Shipping" if you use this.

1. They are only for OpenCart v1.4.0 but there is no need for these in v1.5.1 as that version already comes with "cash on delivery" as well as "free checkout" payment options.kreg1012 wrote:Hey man thanks for this post. Two questions

2. You can use cash on delivery as only option by simply disabling all the other payment methods from the back-end (administration) area.

If i may pick your brain one more time, what would i need to do to list inventory of an item on the front-end of the site? More specifically i want to be able to show live inventory on the front end. So when a customer makes a purchase the amount of product is automatically allocated. Is there an option to turn it on or extension? I appreciate your time thanks
