Stock Status on Invoice

Postby enk » Fri Aug 10, 2012 12:20 am

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows a way to print out that a product is "out-of-stock" or "pre-order" on the order invoices? For example, on the invoices, i would like it to display the stock status after the product name:

"ProductName - Out-of-Stock" or "ProductName - Pre-Order"

We are allowing our customers to make orders to items that are out of stock. So the stock status would make it easier for us to determine which products will become back-order for next time. Any input is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

You need to call the stock status variable in module as well as controller and then you can place it anywhere you want inside the tpl file that displays the invoice. Check the extension store for free mods that get stock status and study the code to figure out how they did it.

Your other option would be to hire a coder to do it for you. Shouldn't be too much work so I'm sure it won't cost an arm and a leg. If you go with this option, post your job in the commercial section of this forum as I'm not a coder.

Thanks for the tip MrTech. Been trying to figure out a solution for the past month but can't seem to make sense of it. I've messed with the controller and tpl files but it keeps on saying that the variable is undefined..
