Re: OpenCart 2.0.3.0 Available Now
I wonder if Heather will show her face in this topic reading all the crap we find in this and previous 2.x releases which are still NOT solved. I don't think we've had an official introduction to Heather and her role in the organization yet. I suspect not much is being done here but shooting the me...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.3.0 Available Now
This is a positive step forward though some clarity on whether we're in a feature freeze (no new features will be added but bugs will be fixed) or a code freeze (no code will be changed anywhere) would be helpful. I'd prefer a feature freeze since fixing bugs is unlikely to effect third-party extens...

Re: root\system\engine\controller.php error
Something else is causing your issue. Closing tags aren't required in pure PHP files.

Re: unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW
You have a vQmod that's causing issues. Try to isolate which one it is and contact the developer for support.

Re: When will 2.1 be released?
It looks like 2.0.2.1 is tentatively slated as the next release. As far as I know there's no ETA. You're getting jokey replies because OpenCart follows its own versioning where the first and second digits only get incremented on big releases. So 2.1.x would be the next major version after 2.0.x. The...

Re: Tax rates not calculated correctly
That depends on what you think a good solution would be. Defaulting to 21% until a user logs in?

Re: Migration from Joomla to OC
You can't. From the hash it looks like you're using a version of Joomla which implemented password_compat /PHP's password_hash() . Check if you have /libraries/vendor/ircmaxell/password-compat/lib/password.php . If you have it try running a known password hash through password_verify() to confirm. A...

Re: Call to undefined function mb_strtolower()
Since the error is coming from a commercial theme you'd need to contact the designers for additional details.

Re: vQmod To OCMod Conversion Thread
Yeah, improvement suggestions always get pushed off to the forum or user voice where they can go to die.

Re: vQmod To OCMod Conversion Thread
I was fumbling at the idea that preventing users from reinstalling or upgrading a script is not a "feature". It's a hindrance.

Re: Best practice for modifications? OcMod +/ VqMod?
The event way of changing modifications looks promising, considering trying to learn that way but would it be a lot of work taking existing vqmod extensions and converting them across? It would be the much preferable way to make modifications. Unfortunately there aren't enough hooks to make it prac...

Re: How often do you update?
Unfortunately OpenCart doesn't following a standardized release cycle and versioning so there's no way to update a store in a clean manner.

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 bugfixes in a VQmod xml file
Sorry. Got my wires crossed. The joy of having two competing standards that look almost exactly alike.
Is vQmod compatible with braces? I didn't think it used GLOB_BRACE.

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 bugfixes in a VQmod xml file
I don't think this will work with braces. They were silently deprecated in v2.0.2.0. You have to use comma delimited full paths now.

Re: Email error upon registration
It is a big job or at least a tedious one. You need to find and replace all instances of $this->config->get('config_mail_smtp_host') with $this->config->get('config_mail_smtp_hostname') There are 26 occurrences of it in 17 files according to the quick search I did. You can use a program like Notepad...
