My Google Analytics Expert extension will give you a load of new and useful features to track the data from your site in Google Analytics. The built in Google Analytics for opencart is very basic and does not offer very much.

Before I purchase this module I want to confirm that the cross site tracking is as Google says it should be done. Yaah I just found the refresh thing as well, should've tested properly! Had to make changes to the ajax request in another file too which was why the correct value only showed on refresh. I've updated the original file with the fix so it's all working now. I've also made the product show in the cart...
