Re: UTF-8 error on Admin login OC2.3.0.2

It's in the php.ini and admin/php.ini files. You need remove the semicolon from the end of each line. So default_charset = UTF-8; To default_charset = UTF-8 Once you have done that you may need to make the change elsewhere in your hosting. You may have a MultiPHP INI Editor in your control panel. Wh...

Re: Open Cart - Very bad SEO behaviour. bug?

Try disabling the extensions one by one until you find the one adding 301 redirects. Also check your htaccess for any reditects other than the default ones.

Re: Open Cart - Very bad SEO behaviour. bug?

What version of OpenCart are you using? Are you using an extension that is adding the 301 redirects? As there are not 301 redirects for products or categories in OpenCart.

Re: the message will be sent to the store's email address instead of the customer's email address

You could try changing the line.

Code: Select all

$mail->setFrom($this->config->get('config_email'));
To.

Code: Select all

$mail->setFrom($this->request->post['email']);

No, tried refreshing the page quite a few times and did not see a single error. I noticed it's not using HTTPS.

Re: I have a mysqli version of the OpenCart 1.4.x to 1.5.x Upgrade script if anyone wants it, but ...

Looking in your OpenCart error log, usually in system/logs and your PHP error_log, usually in the web root could help work out what is going wrong. I think you may need to at least do 1.4 to 1.5 and maybe even 1.5 to 2.2 or 2.3 before going to 3.0. I would search this forums for what others have don...

Re: I have a mysqli version of the OpenCart 1.4.x to 1.5.x Upgrade script if anyone wants it, but ...

What you could do is restore your site's files and database from your backup just before you tried the upgrade. Any decent host should be taking at least daily backups. Once your have restored, make a copy of your site's files and database locally or on another location on your server. Then perform ...

Re: the message will be sent to the store's email address instead of the customer's email address

For the contact form the from address is set here. https://github.com/opencart/opencart/blob/1.5.5.1/upload/catalog/controller/information/contact.php#L20 As you can see it is already set to be the customers address. That means that you either have a modification that modifies the email system or yo...

Re: the message will be sent to the store's email address instead of the customer's email address

Are you talking about the contact form? The default for 1.5.x was to use the customer's email as the from address. What are you seeing as the from address in the email headers?

You have a lot in your htaccess file. Have you tried just keeping it to the basics (see link below) and with the PHP settings at the bottom?

Re: Jquery Pop Up error: Not Found Not Found <!DOCTYPE html> Checkout and Register pages

Yes, on index.php?route=account/register. Still getting random 404 Not found errors, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Some of the 404 errors are on static files, as you can see below, yet these files do exist. jquery-2.1.1.min.js?j2v=2.16.8:4 GET https://sunnybunnyeastereggs.com/index.php?ro...

Re: Jquery Pop Up error: Not Found Not Found <!DOCTYPE html> Checkout and Register pages

It seems to happen when there are a few requests in quick succession. Does your host run any security software such a ModSecurity? It could be generating false positives and blocking the response.

Re: Jquery Pop Up error: Not Found Not Found <!DOCTYPE html> Checkout and Register pages

I would recommend you edit your post and remove some of the database information in the "Stack trace" of the log you just posted. If the problems started on the 12th, ask you host if they made any changes then, such as upgrading your PHP version. The error below could be the problem. [18-Dec-2018 09...

Re: Jquery Pop Up error: Not Found Not Found <!DOCTYPE html> Checkout and Register pages

The PHP error log is often in a file call "error_log" in the same directory as the index.php file. However, it can be in a different place depending on your hosting configuration.

Re: Jquery Pop Up error: Not Found Not Found <!DOCTYPE html> Checkout and Register pages

On your register page, the call to get the list of states (index.php?route=account/account/country&country_id=223) returns a 404 not found. However I can't see it being a missing controller as if you change the Country and back, it then works correctly. Do you see any errors in both your OpenCart er...
