Re: how to translate About Us, Privacy + Terms .. ?

Hi C. Thank you. I should have updated, but forgot because I wrote about the same thing in the german section. I also found out about this, but as a translator I am looking or rather asking: Why are these 'parameters' not included in the language files? I am not a programmer and I have read the repl...

Re: Exact file to translate About Us, Privacy Policy..

Actually, it can be translated in the admin section when you log in. In the modules/information all the pages I mentioned will be shown with the languages I have installed. I just need to change the text there. Thanks! Vimal. @Vimal: I am not seeing, what you are seeing and therefore I do not under...

Re: Exact file to translate About Us, Privacy Policy..

@Q: "Dynamic names and descriptions are all database localized" - I understand a little bit, but no matter what: I can see, that most users do NOT find out about this. I have looked at many non-english sites and About Us, Privacy and Terms .. are NOT translated, ergo: the site does NOT look professi...

Re: How to copy a shop?

Short and precise. Thank you so much. 1. Via phpMyAdmin I a) selected the database, b) clicked the Tab Operations and c) here I typed in a name in the field "Copy database to" and clicked GO. Maybe the same, if you from admin panel go menu System, Backup and Restore? 2. I can do this directly on the...

How to copy a shop?

I have worked 4 weeks with OC ;-), but I do have 15 years basic experience as a webmaster. I am making several installations for other people. I want to have "my own" installation, that is some extra languages, currencies etc. I also want to change the products that come with the default installatio...

Re: Opencart.com terribly slow

Well, everything is relative. Server is in Houston, TX, USA. I am in Europe and often wish, that the server was in Europe. I am NOT an expert in webhosting, but anyone knows, how much it would cost (money) and effort to mirror the site in Europe? Maybe that would be my donation in the near future ;-...

Danish2

I have edited the existing free danish translation. The translation done is in my opinion too literal. I call it "danish2", because you can upload and install it as danish #2 without interfering with an existing danish translation. Full instructions are given in danish, english and deutsch how to ha...

Re: Migration as new forum

just to follow up. I gave up on the xml files ;-) Too complicated for me. I am not an expert in this area. Later I found some people in Ukraine, who have specialised in migrations and they are not expensive, as far as I can see. You can spend hours fooling around with large files, whether being xls,...

Any GOOD video tutorials ?

I googled "Opencart video tutorials" and found a few, also a few on youtube, but not useful in my opinion. I am looking for quality video tutorials, where you actually can see, what is going on. The creator of the video has to be good in zooming, speaking etc. If you know some, I am very interested,...

Migration as new forum

To attract more people to use OC I suggest creating a new forum called "Migration" or whatever describes a move from one shopping cart to another. I am danish, so some words are new to me. Reason: I help a friend to move from a paid webshop solution to OC. I spent some days fooling around with xls f...

Re: Great Job Daniel!

I have spent some weeks testing shopping carts, the last being Magento, terrible slow and demanding for a fast webhost. I have been around a while (I am 60 and started with webdesign in 1995). I have tested many free/open source software. OpenCart is so userfriendly to learn/use, simple to understan...
