Re: Tooltips and a long suffering head !!

OC does "not" use absolute references. They all are relative.

Re: Tooltips and a long suffering head !!

Without seeing your directory it's impossible to tell you that the path is right or wrong. The best thing for you to do is to load the page, check the page source and click on the CSS link at the top. See if it opens up the css. Or, see if the link is there at all. Had you gone to header.php to inse...

Re: WEB HOSTING TYPES - which to choose?

I was with arvixe, pretty happy for months actually but then i don't know what happened the server i was on always had downtimes. Their support said it was a server stability issue or something and eventually suggested i should upgrade to a VPS or dedi (was on shared at the time). It was so damn an...

Re: Switching hosting companies

It would seem that this is my only solution for upgrading to OpenCart 1.5 on Arvixe: To copy my installation of OpenCart 1.4 to Arvixe (from my old hosting company), then import my database from my old hosting company, and then run the script. Is that right? Sounds about right. If you have any furt...

Re: Added 301 redirect now my languages give page not found

That code does not look correct. Try this:

Code: Select all

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]

Re: Uploading banners in their original size for affiliate

They actually are resized with the resize function before they are displayed, not as they are uploaded. You'd want to just get into the affiliate code and instead of calling the width/height of the system settings you want to get the width/height with $size = getimagesize(); where $width = $size[0] ...

Re: Force select 1 of multiple options

The options are sent as their own array to be validated once you try and add to cart. You can easilly just add one more condition on to the existing validation to check if the array is NOT empty.

Re: Opencart VPS Server Configuration Size

It's hard to say without knowing how much traffic your site is going to have. I advise people to get the most robust hosting that's within their operating budget since it's better to have the resources and not need them than vice versa. As a minimum I'd go with 2 gigs of RAM and 2 CPU cores though ...

So much work will be lost.
Have you already re-installed everything?

Re: Error 1146

dependent_option_value is not even a native table to Open Cart. Have you installed a vqmod that has altered a stored query?

Re: arvixe.com hosting problems - is just me?

I agree. While more than personal class is recommended it does not justify the constant down time. Arvand makes good suggestions :)

I would agree. I would consider using a VPS or Dedicated when it comes to large traffic expectation...and large catalog.

Re: Am I the only one who keeps havign issues with Arvixe?

If you call tech support and tell them exactly what you are experiencing they will take care of it. It took me a couple of calls, but my site is faster than ever. Call - don't submit a support ticket. They don't even bother to read them; they just give a standard response. This is certainly your be...
