Re: Sub-Category Listing: Near completion

Ok. 99% done: - 1 Query! - Dynamic levels! - tiny tpl change (to add $class variable) - ~12 lines of code to the category module - Override system compatible! - CSS design base! - No display level bugs - Works with & without URL Aliasing enabled Click For Demo I thought about adding an admin option ...

Re: can't see images

I should also mention that I only have two images uploaded, Backyard Astronomer's Guide, 2nd ed.and 100 Problems in Celestial Navigation, 2nd ed. $37.12 They're both on the homepage... The "extra links" are just because firefox displays the "alt" text with no broken image box. If you look at your s...

Re: can't see images

stick to one thread  ;)
Your store is trying to find the image here:

http://www.maritimejobfinder.com/store/ ... 00x100.jpg

Does that path exist? Is the Cache folder set to 755 ?

Re: images disappear when 're-size Image is selected

I'm not totally affluent with the image stuff, but my first instinct is to ask if your host have GD2 image stuff enabled? Images I believe are resized and placed in the cache folder at 100x100 size for the resize. Is your cache folder set to at least 755 ?

Re: Sub-Category Listing: Near completion

Isn't that what yours does? I visited your demo site, and what I saw (without clicking anything) was Category 1 fully expanded. I think it is still work in progress. What should be added is this (I am now thinking in terms of category tree nodes): When you click on a (possibly nested) category, it ...

Re: Excessive unnecessary code?

Well, his point is still valid at the line level. You'd never move the if (isset($language)) { statement below the echo $currency; statement. So something more like this would make sense: <?php if (isset($language)) {       echo $language; } ?> <?php if (isset($currency)) { ?>       echo $currency; ...

Re: Sub-Category Listing: Near completion

My link is direct to that page so you can see what it looks like when expanded. But if you click a different main category, you will notice that Cat 1's subs hide. I was trying to show 2 features here: 1) showing subs in the category at all and 2) showing only those relevant to the main. I've change...

Re: 3 Column Template Opinion Needed

In this world of cluttered webpages, there is sometimes too much information that 3 columns allow you to show. I guess I was all about 3-column layouts until I found a site called www.csszengarden.com. It is one code base, redesigned hundreds of ways using CSS only. By default, it supports a "main" ...

Re: alternative sub-menu approach

I did mine similarly, tho a bit different to allow dynamic leveling (for subn-th power categories). You can see a demo here. There is still a bug in the way you expand sub-categories in your system: When I click on 'Sub Cat 1A' it opens up all the sub-categories of 'Sub Cat 1B'. There is always the...

Contribs by Qphoria

Here are some contributions that I either created for other carts, or just ideas I found useful. My current list that I am working on is: Released Dynamic Relevant SubCategories - I see this has been done a few different ways, however none seem to be both dynamic (multiple levels) and show only the ...

Re: alternative sub-menu approach

Good work :) Heh, looks like I overlooked a lot of other people doing this same thing. I did mine a bit different to allow dynamic leveling (for subn-th power categories). You can see a demo here It's about 80% complete now. I'm a bit of a stickler for best practices, until I realize I don't know th...

Re: 3 Column Template Opinion Needed

A bit late to the party, but I'll drop my 0.02 here anyway... I think 3-column layout is the bane of the web designers' existence. The years spent on the "Holy Grail" 3-column used to consume me as well.. then I realized the power of 2 columns and the way to make it look like a pseudo-3-column layou...

Re: Tracking search results

Ok, I've got this about 60% done. I have database logging working and I am logging the following fields. - search_id (unique_id that auto-increments) - search_term (what you searched for) - search_time (stores the now() time) - search_results (storing all the product id's that it finds) The next ste...

The 0.7.8 with xampp don't work.
Please elaborate a bit on the "don't work". Did it work with URL Aliasing off? (and the hack to make it actually turn off on the front end)

Re: Under Development: Override system

Well I am pretty close to being complete with the override code. The last few steps is to add overrides for CSS and image files, content and module template overrides seem to work swimmingly. I've even got a few of the released contribs working with the overrides. There are no code changes to the co...

Ah, thought there were only pay modules for that. The only one I saw was http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,274.0.html which wasn't quite what I wanted.
