Re: Whited out text on some pages after new theme installed

roadapple, it looks as though your slider images are the problem with the SSL error . For example: <li><a href="" target="Please select"><img src="http://abraxascabs.com/opencart/image/data/1.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></li> - it looks as though an absolute URL has been entered for the slider images...

Re: .htaccess hacked

I think you're right, and that you're looking at a script vulnerability - more specifically, an extension/ plugin. Do you have a blog, or any similar type of extension running?

Re: .htaccess hacked

The last time an .htaccess hack was reported here, it was connected with an unpatched Wordpress install. Just offering this for info.

Re: DNS issue or something else????

You didn't say whether there had been a change of host, or anything similar - but I'm seeing a completely different site from the one I saw last night. And it looks good! So hopefully all's well now.

Re: how to remove some of the countries

Try this
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 20#p206514

You can also run a SQL query in phpmyadmin (very easy) - there are a couple of how-tos on the same thread.

Hope that helps.

Re: DNS issue or something else????

Where is the new site being hosted - is it at the same location as the old site, or did you change hosts?

- If you changed hosts, and put the new site on the new host, it can take a while for the DNS change to propagate through the internet. Give it a day or so.

Re: I've had it with 123 reg hosting

https://www.vidahost.com/ Highly recommended, and this... "Extremely Technical Support Vidahost is technically-led and our staff are 'techies'. Maybe it would be better on the upgrade thread - Qphoria monitors that pretty closely

Re: SSL and https:/// problem

I had SSL working perfectly, and now all of a sudden Google Chrome is saying that the page now includes other resources which are not secure. This wasn't happening yesterday, and I haven't changed anything in my config. Please help. :( Try this: in Chrome, right-click on a secure page and select 'i...

Re: SSL Configuration v1.4.9.6

Hi, This is the response I got from my hosting company: 'The problem is with the way the third party software is working with the Certificate. Any server side amendments that are needed to allow your scripts to run that the software vendor advise our engineers will then consider implementing server...

Re: Forgot Database Connection Details

Glad you got it sorted OK. :)

Re your other query: if Jay's warned you off a pirate software site, best stay away and try a different theme. Try the extension store first http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ion&path=1

Re: Forgot Database Connection Details

No worries. You need to go to your web host's control panel - the place you created the database in the first place. If it looks anything like this, it's cPanel, and the icon is circled on the page (second pic): http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/php-mysql/mysql_database_user.htm ...hope that's som...

Re: Forgot Database Connection Details

Have you got cPanel at your host? If so, click the MySQL databases icon: all the info should be there.
Other control panels should have something similar.

Re: Upload to web host

Truly, it's nowhere near as daunting as it may look. This is the best guide for changing host: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=documentation/documentation&path=77_49_51 - and check webvet's link too, for using PHPMyAdmin. The only thing I did differently was to just overwrite the clean insta...

Re: htaccess.txt not in default OC download.

Do you have a Mac? If so, could be that the file is there, but hidden. You need to show hidden files to see it, as it's actually called .htaccess.txt

Otherwise, try re-downloading.

Re: SSL Configuration v1.4.9.6

Hi Moggin, This is going to sound really silly but what questions should I put to the hosting company? I have tried following the threads you suggested but to no avail - thanks anyway though! TTN Why not keep it simple - that you have SSL installed but it isn’t securing any of the page content. The...

Re: SSL Configuration v1.4.9.6

Good call TTN! I check in Chrome, then Firefox, and don't go near IE till I absolutely have to :clown: While there may be minor issues with the template, the main problem seems more fundamental. The base href should resolve to https: when you switch on SSL in the back office (1.4x series only - the ...

Re: SSL Configuration v1.4.9.6

Ok, it seems to be running more smoothly now. I'm seeing a couple of problems, though not the freezing problem that was there earlier. These are: 1. With SSL turned on, the page is not encrypted at all. If you 'view source' on a secure page, the base href is still showing as http: when it should be ...

Re: SSL Configuration v1.4.9.6

Many thanks for the link. A couple of things are apparent - 1. When I click between account and home, or click login, the site sometimes seems to freeze up. That's while SSL is not enabled. I also got a server 500 error at one point. The problem is not consistent - and I'm no coding jock - so not su...
