Re: Recovering from a Malware attack

If the code was in the database, it could have been either (1) compromised database info (allowing someone to write directly to the database) or (2) it could have been compromised admin info (allowing someone to log into your admin panel and change settings) or (3) it could have been compromised FTP...

Re: Personalised Poster Module

I don't know of any extensions that can do that, so I think you'll probably need to hire someone. If you need to find a developer, you can post a request in the OpenCart "Commercial Support" forum , which is checked by a number of OpenCart developers. You can also try checking out the OpenCart "Part...

Re: Checkout without delivery panel and final checkout

To get rid of the shipping steps, you can mark all products as "Requires Shipping: No". That will get the checkout down to four steps (login, address, payment method, confirmation). If you want to hide the login and/or payment method steps as well, you could use Hide Checkout Steps to do that. Beyon...

Re: Module licences

Unless a developer states otherwise, the default licensing when purchasing on opencart.com is 1 license per domain. I believe it's fine to use one on a multi-store installation. If you move hosts, it shouldn't matter. If you change domains, it generally won't affect anything, unless the developer ha...

Re: dropdown shipping methods

OpenCart doesn't support select dropdowns by default, so you'd need to find a modification for that. However, I'd suggest just using the normal shipping system, and show radio buttons for each individual option. To show more than one option, you need an extension capable of showing multiple rates. T...

Re: Regarding Extension Payment

I cannot offer a trial version, unfortunately, but I do have screenshots and a live demo you can test out. Those are accessible from the extension page. If you have any further questions about functionality after that, you can contact me here:

Re: What are my options for updating from 1.3.0 to 3.0?

Hire a professional to do the upgrade for you. It's definitely the best way to do it if you need to make sure the upgrade goes smoothly. 1.3 is also quite old, so you'll need to discuss with someone what extensions/modifications you're using, and how to get those on 3.0 (since some of them may no lo...

Re: Alternative to reCAPTCHA?

I don't believe bots can break recaptcha, so I'd suspect that you have another exploit somewhere. The CSRF protection may help, or you may want to hire someone to look at your installation for you, to see what's really going on and if it is indeed the captcha. If you need to find a developer, you sh...

Re: Regarding Extension Payment

If this is for my Geo IP Tools extension, the license is a one-time purchase, and comes with 1 year of free updates and support. You can continue using it indefinitely after that, as long as you don't upgrade your OpenCart installation to a newer version that isn't supported by the extension. If you...

Re: Opencart is taking 20% off when I have disabled VAT

Most likely, this means the mod is hard-coded. You'll probably need to hire someone to search through the relevant files and find the code, then disable it. It also *could* be a 1.5.2 bug, though I don't really think that's the case. I just tested in my localhost 1.5.2 store and it didn't have that ...

Re: Opencart is taking 20% off when I have disabled VAT

None of those seem like they would interfere, though I'm not familiar with all of them. I'd suggest to double-check your vqmods as well, if you have any. Those would be in /vqmod/xml/ on your server. Some extensions have both a vQmod file and an admin panel interface, but some only have the vQmod fi...

Re: How to permemant no shipping?

I'd suggest creating a disabled "template" product to use, that has "Requires Shipping" set to "No", as well as any other standard fields set the way you want. Then, when you need a new product, just Copy that product instead of using Add, and it will start with the values you want.

Re: Image src(unknown) and Carousal and Slideshow Missing on Homepage (common/home)

Modules are stored in the database differently in OpenCart 1.5 and OpenCart 2.3. You'll need to recreate and reassign your modules in the upgraded store, in the Extensions > Modules section. Also, you may need to recreate your banners in Design > Banners, if those continue to have issues after reass...

Re: Opencart is taking 20% off when I have disabled VAT

Taxes are always added on top of prices in OpenCart, so my guess is that you have a mod installed that was taking the product price and assuming it was the taxed cost. Thus, it's taking the cost out when displaying it. Look into the mods you've installed, and see if you can find any that are designe...

Re: is there an extension which can show shipping fee at product detail page

tingwing, Shipping Estimate Module can do this. You can set it to show up in any standard module position on the product page, and then set it to auto-calculate when the page is loaded. It will then display the shipping quote for that particular product. Feel free to take a look at the screenshots a...
