Re: [Solution 2]: Paypal No Order - More Secure. No lost Orders.

Just to be crystal clear. 1) I think this refers only to the version of pp_standard.php that is in catalog/controller/payment. Please correct me if I have misunderstood. 2) The from code has changed between versions 1.32 and 1.34. The equivalent code in 1.34 appears to be: if (strcmp($response, 'VER...

Re: SEO URL not working properly

I now have this problem on a new site and I've found a workaround that may give someone a clue as to the root cause (it isn't the one suggested by Q above afaics). Check out the site at http://www.feralmale.com . In the new products list the gold wedge cufflinks link works but the gold lanspeed cufl...

Re: How are you all populationg your products?

I use PHP MyAdmin which has a function to import from a spreadsheet (csv file). Some general advice and gotchas I have found: 1) Set up your manufacturers first. 2) Format your product data in Excel. 3) Make sure all your images are uploaded first, otherwise the links will be lost. 4) Do the uploads...

Payment gateways recommendations

I am having a lot of problems with PayPal at the moment and customers are getting irate. I have to install another payment gateway quick (today!). Worldpay looks a good bet - is the payment module working 100% or is it a bad bet. Comments like Qphoria's at http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=3...

Re: New OpenCart Logo

Hi IT-Dude I'm impressed with your creativity and artistic flair. At the risk of sounding critical again (you did ask for feedback): - I think the cart looks great (for a cart); - I get the globe reference; but - the wheels look too small to me; and - I do think it looks a bit like a big toothy smil...

Re: SEO URL not working properly

I just implemented SEO friendly URLs. I found that some categories were linking directly to products and deduced that this was because the category and the product had the same SEO keyword. Is this a known issue and is there any workaround other than periodically checking that the users have not cre...

Re: OpenCart 1.3.4

I agree. It would be helpful to have a default sort sequence established by the website owner, for when we want to present a collection of products in a particular sequence. Sort by ££ or ABC is fine for commodity products, but not if, for example, you're showing a range of expensive jewellery and y...

Re: Use SEO URLs

Re: New OpenCart Logo

Nice designs. I like 3 best. I think the owl reference is going to elude most viewers, even subliminally. My one problem woith the concept is that the cart looks to me like a pushchair/pram ("stroller" in Amercican?).

Re: Use SEO URLs

Further to this. I note that Opencart appears to generate SEO friendly URLs with spaces, where there are spaces in the SEO Keywords. Am I right in thinking this is inadvisable? I'm going through my SEO keywords now taking out the spaces and replacing them with dashes. If I am right about this pergha...

Re: Use SEO URLs

Sorted - thanks. I'm still puzzled though - I went back and found the htaccess.txt file in the orginal installation zip, but the installation routine itself had not deployed it. I ended up with an opncart system with no htaccess.txt in the root. The only one I could find was in admin\view\javascript...

Use SEO URLs

A question if I may rethe "Use SEO URLs" option in Setting/Server. 1) Is this worth bothering with? If so... 2) I can't get it to work (see test site at http://www.urbansavage.co.uk click on category "Desktops"). The mod-rewrite option is installed. The documentation mentions the...

Re: New OpenCart Logo

Seems it means "proporptional to" in maths (I should have remembered that), and is called propto or varpropto.

This:

was pretty helpful.

Re: New OpenCart Logo

So I decided to have a go. oc-logo-2009-11-10-001.jpg The text is based on hiipo's proposal but I used Verdana as the closest approximation I could get to his Myriad font family, which Bill Gates omitted to provide me with. I selected the blues pretty hastily so my choices can no doubt be improved u...

Re: New OpenCart Logo

My two-pennerth FWIW. 1) I don't think there is much desperately wrong with the existing design, but I understand that sometimes things just feel ready for a change. 2) I like the dark blue-light blue text colouration in hiipo's proposal, and I think the capitals look fine, but they do somewhat over...

Re: HELP - PAGE BLANK AFTER UPDATE
