Re: Corrupt vqmod Cache Files

Anyone else seen this behavior and if so, how did you solve it? Well, the best way would be, to decide on either only use OcMod Extensions, or then, only use VqMod Extensions. But by using both, one run's into such probllems, once in a while, especially, if OcMod Cache is cleared, but VqMod still t...

Hello. When I try import my exls, I see in logs error: 2018-09-19 12:53:35 - Export/Import: Invalid worksheet names
What I need to do with worksheet names?
Do an Export first, to see the required names and formats of the various worksheets, and then use them for the Import.

Re: Journal Blog

I have the blog configured and installed. OC 2.0 I can see the link to it in my menus. When I click the link it says "page cannot be found." Anyone know if I need to turn off the factory OC blog module some how? This is about a commercial extension which isn't even sold via OpenCart. Best thing to ...

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Hi, The tool is perfect. I am facing one issue. When I import an Excel sheet for Categories or Products, the SEO field in the sheet overrides the values in the system. I am using a separate extension for SEO (which is multilingual) thus all my SEO is overwritten and I have to redo it again. Is ther...

Re: Shocked! - Documentation for developers (or lack of...)

Another reason why there is only sparse OC documentation is because its API isn't yet stable. Each new release introduces changes to its API. For instance, the past few OC 3.x releases have seen a number of changes with its event handlers, especially for modifying views (templates). Also the marketp...

Re: OpenCart 3.0.2.0 Released

I strongly advise against the usage of OC 3.1.0.0 on live stores. OC 3.1.0.0 still has a number of unfixed bugs, especially in conjunction with its Theme Editor and OCmod. Perhaps this would be a good time to think about a community edition of OC 3 with at least this included: - bugfixes - support f...

Re: Why does theme editor override ocmod changes?

It's not fixed in OC 3.1.0.0a1, in fact the theme editor now only works when theme caching is turned on. This is getting more messy.

Re: Multiple option quantity (Journal 2, OC3)

This will require some customization work, especially since you are using a problematic non-standard compliant web theme. There are some extensions available for custom input options, but again would have to be adjusted to your non-standard web theme.

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

I don't understand your question. What you said doesn't make sense. Downloading products (that is, an export) never deletes any products. And the incremental Import only adds or update products, it won't touch the other products.

Re: OpenCart Alpha 3.1.0.0 has been released

This is probably an old known issue , but it still hasn't been resolved: Having turned off caching, and then changed the common/header.twig by the built-in theme editor, the change works fine. However, when I change the same file ' catalog/view/theme/default/template/common/header.twig ' via OCmod, ...

Re: Why does theme editor override ocmod changes?

It's a known issue, you shouldn't use the template editor. If the template changes are part of your web theme, copy the twig file into your theme directory and then modify it there as needed.

straightlight is right, the OP doesn't provide enough details. At the very least, what is the OpenCart version? What OCmod extensions failed? What are the exact error messages in the OCmod log, or the the OpenCart error.log?

Re: After edit twig file using theme editor, website show blank page

I assume you want to use your web theme? If so, in that case you would have your own theme folder at 'catalog/view/theme/<your-theme>/', and you could place a modified template file into 'catalog/view/theme/<your-theme>/template/common/header.twig'. Don't use the theme editor, it may cause clashes w...

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

Ilya Heifetz : I don't think you quite understand the concepts of object-oriented programming. Take a look at this little tutorial . And then the brief examples here . Basically, you can override your method in an extended model class. And whenever the model instance is created, it will use the exte...

Re: OCMOD everywhere

You still haven't told us what exactly it is you wish to overwrite or add in your config.php . Without further details, nobody can help you. In general, a new OpenCart module could directly change any PHP file, though this is not a best practice. Usually, an extension stores its setting via a module...

Re: OCMOD everywhere

Could you tell us what changes you'd like to do to the config.php ? Is it a protocol change (HTTPS or HTTP)? Or additional configuration settings for planned new extensions? Or what? I think each OpenCart store owner has his/her unique preferences on what's needed for the site. Re: Questions about Journal 2 theme prior to buying

You should stay away from any of the Journal themes. As Ernie said, they don't abide by the OpenCart standards, and will cause clashes with many other 3rd party extensions. There are better, and IMHO nicer looking themes available for OpenCart. Take a look at this forum thread.

Warning: Stay away from A2Hosting

So we thought using a new webhost for our sites would be a nice thing to do, so we went for the A2Hosting as advertised on the OpenCart forum. Big mistake. New account was set up. We were using the hosting located in Amsterdam. It's DB connection for our site never worked. The A2Hosting tech support...
