Thanks for responding. Version is 1.5.4. My SMTP server doesn't work with both the live and the new test server. I receive a EHLO error. Contact us page can be resubmitted over and over 1.5.4
Using the back button or a script you can post over an over the contact us page because a new captcha is NOT generated or the old captcha invalidated. Not a huge deal. Just annoying to have your mailbox flooded. So when a success occurs and it sends the email I invalidate the old session information...

I've noticed two things 1. A dollar sign in the contact us form enquiry or any input prevents the email from being sent. str_replace('$','',foo) resolves this...or setting html instead of text for the email. So if a customer where to ask for "2 units at $50.00 each" i would never have seen...

Some store names improperly written to From field of emails.
