PayPal Checkout local to your website

Hi, We are using OC V 3.0.2.0 with PayPal Express checkout and (recently added) Square Payments. I liked the fact that Square's form is right on the checkout page and decided to look into the possibility to do the same with PayPal Checkout (not PayPal Pro). PayPal is suggesting that this can be done...

Re: can i delete session table data

Running 3.0.2.0 I had 450,000 records in one website and 1 MM lines in another. So I made a copy and truncated the table just to see what happens . Everything is working just fine. The question is weather the hourly cleanup process is in fact working. Clearly there are expired session records in the...

Re: Fix Authorize.Net to work with TLS 1.2?

Well, first it will be good for everyone to know that it can be "forced" because not everyone has full control their hosting environment. I don't know about other things using curl, but authorize.net gateway simply did not work, unless it was specified in the code. I have full control of my hosting ...

Re: Fix Authorize.Net to work with TLS 1.2?

With Authorize.net payment removing TLS 1.0 and 1.1 from the server was not enough. Had to add this line to controller/payment/authorizenet_aim.php curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_SSLVERSION, 6); Recently upgraded to OC 3.0.2.0 and I had to make the same change to controller/extension/payment/authorizene...

Re: Refund PayPal Express Orders from admin - missing functionality

Apparently no one is using PayPal Express Checkout with Opencart 3.x. The issue was resolved and it is a bug in the code. The error was Got error 'PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Twig_Error_Syntax' with message 'Unexpected "endfor" tag (expecting closing tag for the "if" tag define...

Refund PayPal Express Orders from admin - missing functionality

Anyone knows what happened to the PayPal Express 'refund' (an 'view' transaction details) functionality in the admin >> orders page. The tabs design from version 2.X was consolidated into one screen on 3.X, but the functionality we use to have under the "action" tab is gone. In version 2.X one could...

Re: Registration Spam

Is there something in this thread that is not blatant promotion of commercial extensions? And someone just raised a price from $20 to $49 and then offered a "discount" of $15. Ingenious!!

Anyway - thanks Straightlight. Can i make this work for 1.5.6.4??

Re: Fix Authorize.Net to work with TLS 1.2?

I finally got around to fix this issue with TLSV1.2 and Authorize.net. There ate two separate changes that need to take place: 1. Server SSL protocol. You need to make sure that only TLSv1.2 is active. To do so first run this command to see which protocols are active /usr/local/psa/bin/server_pref -...

Fix Authorize.Net to work with TLS 1.2?

On 2/28 Authorize.Net disabled TLS 1.0/1.1 and customers can no longer check out with this payment method. Can't believe that there is no update for relevant files for OC v1.5.x. - did I miss something? I tested my server with https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ and it was compatible with TLS 1.2 so I'...

Re: Disable Image Cache Completely

Yes I am running out of my 120 GB disk space, but this is a secondary problem. Why on earth should we waste crating an image for example, the additional images size xyz_250x250.jpg, when in reality the responsive theme uses that image as the original and adjusts the size in the browser depending on ...

Disable Image Cache Completely

I have over 100,000 images, 5 images per product which brings the original images count to 500,000. By the time the system creates 5 new images sizes and copies them into the /httpdocs/image/cache/catalog/ directory I end up with 3,000,000 images. The original images are all optimized in terms of di...

Re: How to DISABLE OpenCart image cache?

Ernie, Thank you for your help, but it did not work at all. I wish you can focus your answer on bypassing the creation of any product images and simply use the original image. I tested your site and its really fast, nice job!!. I'll tackle speed that later. What I did: updated the config.php file, u...

Re: How to DISABLE OpenCart image cache?

Thanks IP_CAM, first I should let you know that my version is 2.0.3.1 with the Journal theme. All my original images are optimized and so I don't get any size reduction benefits from the caching mechanism. With 100,000 products, all I get is a giant storage monster. So I tried replacing the function...

Re: How to DISABLE OpenCart image cache?

Is this a way to disable all product image caching or just the pop-ups? With 100k products and 3-5 additional images its just too much to have 400-600 thousand images on the server. if there is a simple was to let cc deal with the size, it will be great.

Re: UPGRADE to 2.x: Contemplate before thou begins!

Was this all fixed with 2.3.0.2? Can we now use the out of the box upgrade process?
If so, can someone here be more specific? Which of the upgrades below should work:
Upgrade from 1.5.x >> 2.3.0.2
Upgrade from 2.0.x >> 2.3.0.2
Upgrade from 2.1.x >> 2.3.0.2
Upgrade from 2.2.x >> 2.3.0.2

Re: 2.2.0.0 Upgrade Script Improvements by Qphoria - TEST PL

I have an active store with Version 2.0.3.1 and 50K products. I really want to try this... What do you recommend? 1. Making a test copy of the store and trying the upgrade there (copying all the images, changing the config files..) 2. Make a full backup of code and DB and run your script (roll back ...

Re: Attempted Theft of the OpenCart Project!

i2Paq --- it seems we have a similar history with oSC. The only reason I made a comment here is because i really like OC, albeit frustrated with the inability to get the latest and greatest. On a lighter note, Compare and Fair never go together because no two things are ever the same. A much nicer G...

Re: Attempted Theft of the OpenCart Project!

The point is that osCommerce is going nowhere, it is stuck on v2.x for 10 years and the only users it has are those who are stuck with it or don't know how to dump it. Why? probably because Ponce de Leon likes to keep things close to his chest, so close that no one ever sees them. To keep the projec...
