OpenCart shows the product name and also the selected options names (smaller font) in the cart page.
This is how it works. If you want to change that, you will need to alter the code.

To be honest I am not sure what you are asking. If these are the ids of the categories, then yes these numbers are in the oc_category DB table.

There is no limit. The only limit you may face is how the categories will look like (if there is not enough space or so).
