I really do appreciate all the feedback here. After letting these responses, and others I've read, sink in for a bit I have decided to continue with moving the rest of our sites to 2.3.0.2. from several 1.5 variants we're currently running. In for a penny...

I wouldn't recommend to use CKE editor for it's quite slow. Yet you can customize and update Summernote editor, which comes in the package. See summernote.org for more info. I'll look into this. I don't do a heck of a lot of tweaking in descriptions anyway (my sole use) and I guess this would keep ...

Well, it came very close... and again - thanks for the help! While it did get rid of the pop-up action, and that's great, the images lost their resizing ability. No, I meant the pop-up for the main product image. The way I'm setting up the store, the main product image is fine in its size... its pop-up when clicked is not necessary. Can't Add Additional Product Images In 1.5.1.3
