The developer that build the site abandoned me so i am trying to fix his work myselfs.

If you have an error 404, it's not because this error won't appear in the logs. If the hosting company mentioned that a 404 error page cannot be found in the logs, then they surely don't know how to handle their own logs and I would run away from that. As explained on the above, each server configurations are individually defined by network administrators for each web hosts. This question can't be answered unless testing the platform in your environment.

The cPanel error logs could also not display any entries due to disabled settings. The best location to find your logs is in your FTP root domain location under access-logs and / or the logs folder;

Ensure your installed fraud extension module is properly configured. Also, error / server access would need to be provided in order to understand the back-end side of this issue.
