I know this is not good at all, but I have unique case in OC3 and I need to use same product name for few products.

I think most people are put off by the idea of registering but they understand they need to provide an address for the item to be delivered and an email address for communication ... so once they've done all that, a little checkbox and a password field seem nice and easy.

Version numbers are not like a decimal where you can leave off the zeros, you should always quote all four digits to avoid confusion.
