Re: Make Customers Reviews on Product Pages Indexable by Search Engines

I've just checked through my error log and found the error which I think refers to the issue in my last reply with 'Array' displaying instead of the number of reviews. PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in ........../Ocartdata_testsite/storage/cache/....... on line 1018 But I have no idea how to...

Make Customers Reviews on Product Pages Indexable by Search Engines

Opencart V3.0.2.0 I'm hoping someone can help me out with this, for SEO purposes I'm trying to make the customer reviews on my product pages so that they can be indexed by search engines, from what I understand they are controlled by Ajax and search engines can not see them. I've found a couple of o...

Re: Trim white space from end of email before validating

Straightlight that is fantastic - I have tested on both the checkout as guest and also the register account checkout and it works perfectly on both.

Thanks again for your time and help.

Re: Trim white space from end of email before validating

Ok - Regarding the below code: $this->request->post['email'] = trim($this->request->post['email']); Were does it need to go in relation to this code: if ((utf8_strlen($this->request->post['email']) > 96) || !filter_var($this->request->post['email'], FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) { For example, does it nee...

Re: Trim white space from end of email before validating

I've changed the code as above but the problem is still persisting - you can replicate it on the desktop view by just adding a space at the end of the email field, please see the attached screenshot.

Re: Email address does not appear to be valid - On mobile version using autocomplete

I'm a bit confused - do I need to just add the below code or change some of the existing code?

$email = trim($this->request->post['email']);

Also regarding which files I need to change, will these be the /catalog/controller/checkout/guest.php and /catalog/controller/checkout/register.php?

Thanks,

Re: Email address does not appear to be valid - On mobile version using autocomplete

Ok, I think I've found what is causing the problem - when using predictive text on a mobile phone it adds a space after each word it inputs (so that there are spaces between words) so when it enters the email field there is a space after the email and opencart will not accept it, if the space is rem...

Re: Email address does not appear to be valid - On mobile version using autocomplete

Thanks for the reply, I will give it a try but don't think that it will work as it is the actual predictive text from the mobile phone/tablet that predicts the email address - for example: On checkout the customer using his mobile phone fills in his details and starts to enter his email address, the...

Checkout error exists with email entry using a mobile devices predictive text feature.

I have found what looks to be a problem which at least effects all Opencart v3.0.2.0 sites, in that customers are unable to place an order on a mobile device when using the devices predictive words feature. Here's what happens; 1, In checkout whilst the customer, is filling in their details they sta...

Re: Email address does not appear to be valid - On mobile version using autocomplete

After further investigation, I'm going to post this on the Opencart report bugs problem as I'm now sure it's a fault and is affecting every opencart site I've tried. It's actually to do with the predictive text/word feature which is found on most mobile devices and Opencart not recognising that an e...
