Re: Fatal Error: Memory Related

The original error message concerned virtual memory size, not disk storage amounts. It appears you were limited to 64MB, and managed to use it all up. Increasing your limit (larger than 64MB), as IP_CAM suggested, might get you past this roadblock, but your host may not allow 640MB of VM. Anyway, th...

Re: Webkul - Stay Away from these fraudsters!

Was this thread entirely removed at some point, and then the OP re-created it? It looks very familiar, yet my post cautioning the OP about the legal hazards of making such public claims, is gone. I put a lot of thought into that post, and am very annoyed that someone simply purged it. It seems like ...

Re: error in H1

You have two (or more) <H1> tags on one page? That's not illegal in any way, but the SEO preference is to have only one (to show the most important section). You need to know which page it is on. I don't think that OC normally sets more than one on a page -- perhaps you installed an add-on or extens...

Re: Issues with SSL

That's not the full story. There are two things you need to do: update your configuration files to specify https instead of http for all internally-generated page links modify your server (through .htaccess) to change any incoming http URLs to https Your question concerns the second item. It is poss...

Re: URLs triggering 404 when ssl is enabled

RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.sd-dev.sofasdirect.com.au [L,R=301] Uh, that will take you back to the root (store entrance), rather than simply moving you from non-SSL (http) to SSL (https). You need to change it to RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off...

Re: URLs triggering 404 when ssl is enabled

I see that on an SSL page such as https://www.sd-dev.sofasdirect.com.au/ a link such as http://www.sofasdirect.com.au/upholstery is non-SSL, and might be causing you problems. Are these hard coded "Read More" entries? If nothing else, you are not redirecting http: requests to https: via .htaccess (w...

Re: http / https issue

You're still turning SSL on in one place, and then turning it off in the following place! Please fix, and then see if you still have trouble. You also add "www." (if missing) in two places, and you have a (default) 302 status code on the first redirect. Please learn how .htaccess URL rewrites work b...

Re: Store front is all text with hyperlinks

The first thing is to force a reload of your page. Press Ctrl+F5 (on most browsers) to get a complete refresh (or clear your browser cache). Maybe you're looking at an old version of the page your browser has cached. It's working for others, so that's the most likely cause.

Re: Question about locations of multiple files/strings

For #1, you need to learn how to easily search your files for a given text string. You should preferably have a copy of your site on your PC, but searching can also be done on a live server. For a Linux system, use grep to search for a string (regular expression, so it's more powerful than a simple ...

Re: Want to know about 3.x Version of OpenCart.

You're asking a question that covers a lot of ground. Have you read the v3 documentation yet? Have you read through the forum entries for it? Have you tried an installation? Do you have any knowledge of v1 and v2? You might get some responses if you ask some more specific questions, rather than some...

Re: ERROR IN REPORTS

You didn't get a terribly useful answer before, because you didn't tell us what OC version you were running (or the PHP version, either). If indeed you are on a very old OC release, an upgrade (not necessarily to 3.x, but to a current 1.x or 2.x) might be the solution.

Re: [HOW TO] Redirect "index.php?route=common/home" to main page

You've got 5 RewriteCond (rewrite conditions) in a row, and the default operation is AND . That is, all 5 must be true in order for the RewriteRule(s) following to be run. You may need to restructure these rules with some [OR] flags, or may even need to break it up into several groups of rewrites. S...

Re: Broken search on only one search term

That is very strange. Are you saying that a search for axles works fine, but a search for axle gives an image-related problem? Does axles return the same hits that axle is expected to, or far fewer (or none)? I'm wondering if perhaps axle gives a huge number of returns that is overflowing something?

Re: Adding mass emails to Newsletter?

If they have already explicitly opted-in to receive newsletters from your business, I can't imagine any requirement that they would have to do it again (just because you changed software). If you've changed the site name or third-party mailer firm, as a courtesy you might notify them via email that ...

Re: Adding mass emails to Newsletter?

I've a one time upload of 600+ email addresses that I want to add into OC as Newsletter subscribers. Be careful there! Each of these addresses should have given explicit, informed, "opt-in" permission to be put on a newsletter mailing list. Otherwise, you will be in some degree of legal trouble (es...

For me, the fact that you must load cookies only after the user accepts them, Not true. Temporary cookies required for basic function do not need permission. Long-term cookies that invade privacy (beacons, tracking cookies) are what the law is supposed to require you to ask permission for. If the b...

Re: Reason why there is no delete account for user in user account?

A customer should be able to request that their data be taken offline, but as has been pointed out, there may be statutory requirements that the store keep it around for some period. The GDPR law is not well thought-out, and though it is founded on good intentions, it practice it is going to be a ni...

Re: SSL issue - cant get rid of warning line

The error message is telling you that output (tags and/or text) is being sent to the browser at the very first line of config.php. That means you have something before the opening <?php . It may be as simple as an extra carriage return or a blank line. Some editors are notorious for adding such stuf...

Re: htaccess and custom 404 page problems

I didn't accuse you (or anyone else in the thread) of suggesting a local system. It's just my experience that sooner or later, someone will chime in with "you have to set up a local system on your PC, to run a development environment". I'm just pointing out in advance that's usually bad advice, as i...
