Re: How to enable Https instead of http

Most sites also want to force (or remove) "www." in the domain name, so it's a good idea to combine that with forcing https in one redirect, rather than two separate redirects: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on [OR] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.mydomai...

Re: Opencart Platform modified to be a multivendor marketplace...where do I seek help?

So you and your developer are no longer on speaking terms, and they are holding your site hostage to get money to get it working? My condolences. Depending on just what custom work they did, and your skill level, understanding and fixing/enhancing the store could be anything from minor work to a maj...

Re: Every word starts with a big letter

In your browser, bring up whatever "element inspector" it supports (e.g., Firebug in Firefox). Take a look at the CSS being applied to some text with unwanted capitals. I'll bet you find one or more text-transform: capitalize settings in there somewhere. Comment it out (in the .css file, or <style> ...

Re: https issue redirect

Just to clarify, if you drop the https:// part, your browser will add http:// in for you. Then, your server's .htaccess bounces it back to your browser with a 301 redirect to use https instead of http. To minimize the number of redirect round trips, it's best to combine as many 301 redirects as you ...

Re: https issue redirect

Hi I tried the following but when I drop the https:// part from the address bar, it just goes to the main domain name https://www,it-doneright.co.uk where as I would like to stay within the shop folder, I put the following just after RewriteBase /shop/. Is that the right place? RewriteEngine On Rew...

Re: IF 1 in stock

Ugh! Please don't write code like that, constantly jumping in and out of PHP for no good reason. Next, "equality" is ==, not =. You're doing an assignment. Is $text_stock a number? If so, don't put quotes around the 1. Why do you have an empty "else" clause? It's useless. <?php if ($text_stock == 1)...

Re: Does opencart works on hhvm?

HHVM may not be at the current PHP level (7.1 or so). I saw one reference that said it was 5.4, so you may find that it doesn't support recent OC versions. If you already have such a system, check its documentation to see what PHP level it's at, check the minimum PHP a given release of OC requires, ...

Re: Every word starts with a big letter

Could you clarify what the problem is here? Are you saying that every word defined as starting with a lower case letter ("apple") somehow gets folded to an upper case (capital) letter: "Apple"? Can you tell which words this happens to? Is it just the first letter of a heading or title, is the entire...

Re: https issue redirect

Even better, take care of forcing https and www. (or no www.) in the same redirect: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on [OR] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.mydomain.com/$1 [R=301,L] Adjust accordingly if you don't want www. I prefer to not use HTTP_HOST in...

Re: which table is used for reports > products > purchased

You removed "related tables"? If you modified the database in any way, I'm afraid it's up to you to figure out what happened. You may have to dump the schemas for both a stock OC and your store, and compare them. Are you confident that Jasper Reports is clean from end to end? It's not reading the DB...

Re: in search letter "ı" and "i" problem

If you have any trouble with the iconv() code, be sure to read http://php.net/manual/en/function.iconv.php. The TRANSLIT may not be supported on all PHP installations, but if it is, it is supposed to transliterate characters to the nearest ASCII equivalent (e.g., ö/ö becomes oe ). You shou...

Re: which table is used for sales > purchased

It sounds to me like he's installing a shop for a client, and the client noticed that the total sales reported are greater than the sum of customer purchases (they should be equal). I'm assuming that various taxes are accounted for in the tally. He reports that all the demo/test sales have been remo...

Re: notice for countries not covered by postage mod

Does the Royal Mail postage only cover the UK, and everything else is not covered? I'm kind of surprised that they don't have an option for foreign mail (most postal services do). It may involve contacting an RM server to get a quote on postage to specific destinations, which may in turn require som...

Re: in search letter "ı" and "i" problem

Something I didn't notice before: one is a regular "i", and the other is a "dotless i". Is there a reason for the difference? Was it deliberate? Changing the dotless i to a regular ASCII i might solve the problem, if it was accidental. Otherwise, a regular i and a dotless i won't match in a search. ...

Who said anything about trademarks? They're not copyrighted, anyway. They're a totally different beast than a copyright.

please do your research it's open source . and don't post me anymore if your gonna be like that.. Ah, open source is still under somebody's copyright (unless it's "Public Domain", which means certain things). You have no legal right to go claiming (taking over) someone else's copyright (name of cop...

Re: in search letter "ı" and "i" problem

What's TRIMming '% some term %' going to do? Does TRIM work inside a string, or just leading and trailing blanks (which don't exist here)? Did you mean to trim the search term before wrapping %'s around it?

Re: How to change the Year in Copyright OpenCart 2.0x.

"Powered by OpenCart" and "Theme by ...." copyrights should not be changed, except by OpenCart and theme writers when they change code. You should have a separate copyright statement somewhere for copyrighting your own content. Don't go changing "copyright 2002 OpenCart" to "copyright 2017 OpenCart"...

Re: Currency not updating?

Is the problem that your exchange rates are not updating as expected? What FX service are you using to keep updated? I seem to recall discussion about one of them shutting down recently. On the other hand, if you're still getting rates but the store is not applying them, that's a different problem. ...

Re: change bulk tag "%20" ?

Please clarify what you are asking for. When you say "tag", are you talking about meta tags (description, keywords, etc.)? Those should be normal text anyway, not HTML-encoded (space -> %20). Are you talking about SEO URIs, where you want /My Great New Product to become /my-great-new-product? What a...
